Where are you? Your Favorite Social Networks by Morgan Mandel

I don't know about you, but I spend lots of time on social networks. I joined for promotional purposes, but it's turned out a place where I've made lots of genuine friends I really care about. Though I've never met these friends, they've become a part of my life.

Although Facebook has a few recent quirks I don't care about, such as trying to force the chat feature on me and making me reset to unavailable when I sign in, it's so far my favorite.

Second is Twitter, where the comments are short and easy to read.

Fast on their heels is Google+, where I can add friends in special circles to keep them organized in my mind, then I can send comments to the public, or choose one or more of the circles with which to share.

If you want to link up with me on any of these sites, you can find me at:

What about you? Where are you? Name up to three social networks you spend time at and make sure to leave your addresses so we can find you.

I'm at Facebook

Twitter

And just started Google+, but the jury is still out on the value of that one.

My new place is Google+, but I'm also on my Facebook Author page and Twitter. I love them all!!!

As you said, I've met so many people online I consider friends. When we meet in person--as we sometimes do--it's more like a reunion than a first meeting. :)

I'm on Facebook, Twitter, LlinkedIn, and now Google+. Still not sure about the value of Google+.

Also not sure if all this code I just put it will show up.

Facebook and Twitter for me. Facebook reaches fewer people, but Twitter seems to generate much less feedback. I guess I'm on LinkedIn as well because I've responded to people's requests for endorsements, but I have made no effort to use it for myself.

I briefly tried Google+ and for some reason couldn't get past their initial page, so I lost patience. My fault, no doubt. I'll look again when time allows.

I'm on Twitter (not sure what I'm doing) and Goodreads (really don't know what I'm doing) but my social network of choice is blogging. This is where I connect to others best.

Morgan, please come do a Google + tutorial at the BRP very soon. I confess, I don't quite get it yet. Lots of people have added me to their groups, but I don't know what to do now. How/who do I visit and where? I feel really dense right now. Now lets see if I can get through your Captcha code the first time.

I've been reticent about joining Google+ since they monitor everything you do and personally I like to just put everything out there with one big "splat!" instead of creating individual groups, lol! So for me there's really only two with one or two auxiliary networks:
Twitter/PIBARRINGTON
Facebook/P.i.Barrington
and when I remember, BEBO/PIBarrington. Anyone else get the feeling MySpace is heaving its last dying breath?

At one point I was on over 20 sites, which is impossible to manage! Now I focus on Facebook, Twitter, blogging, and Deviant Art. Just joined Google+, too.
