What's your GMC for 2011?

GMC is so necessary in manuscripts, as in everyday life. Here's my New Year's Resolutions (GMC):

MY GOALS:
Be Better Organized
Lose Weight
Finish Writing My Book.

MOTIVATION:
It would be so nice to have everything where I want it when I need it.
It's healthy not to weigh a lot, plus easier to get into clothes.
I'm a writer, but I want something to show for my efforts, especially when people ask me when my next book's coming out.

CONFLICT:
I don't always have time to put things where they should be, or come up with plans on how to do what needs doing.
So much tempting food to ignore, not to mention food is usually part of socializing.
Day job, home life, marketing, online friends to keep up with, research, everyday life, inner editor, other distractions.

What's your GMC for 2011?

-Edit my two Victorian Romances for their’ for June and September 2011 launches [Plot?]
-Try not to bug my agent as to how the submission of my 17th Century Historical Biographical manuscript is going [Conflict-definitely]
Complete my Victorian Mystery
Join the Romantic Novelists Association as my agent keeps bugging me about it. For myself I cannot see the advantages but she maintains it will be good for me – so here goes. [Solution]

To understand that some bloggers won't understand that GMC is A TRADEMARK of the GM truck line.

You and I are pretty much twins in our GMC. Mine's red; what color is yours? Kidding! I can just take your GMC and tape it to my computer.

I've written out my G's, but have neglected my M and my C. Hmm... For motivations, I'm looking for a sense of accomplishment, as well as a feeling of balance in life. And as for conflict, I have to resolve one in my local writers' club. I want to consign all other conflict to my fiction.

Love this new GMC. Buy American!

I think my GMC's for 2011 is not to get myself too distracted by chatting on WN TB
To write more for competitions
Keep up my blog on a regular basis

I love your including the motivation and conflict with the goals, just like in a character outline! Okay, here are some off the top of my head:

Goals:
1. Work up a series bible for my mystery series
2. Sell some stories
3. Keep all the blogs I handle up-to-date
4. Get back in shape

Motivation:
1. I can't do second drafts of my roughs until I have all those ducks in a row.
2. [rubs fingers and thumb together]
3. I promised!
4. I feel better when I weigh within a certain range and when I have better muscle tone. Plus, getting in shape necessitates better eating habits, and that's always A Good Thing.

Conflict:
Time -- always time. But I've learned that dedication to a goal seems to create time, so Imma try REAL HARD!

Thanks for Motivating me to crystallize my goals!

LOL...I thought you were talking about a car.

I'm going on four hours of sleep and no caffeine to help me wake up...so the only thing I want right now is more sleep.

I love this idea. I'm going to have to try it. So far my only resolution has been to minimize. Buy less, own less.

Great post.

My basic goals for next year are to publish two more Detective Jackson stories and write most of a standalone futuristic thriller. On a personal level, I'm giving up Diet Dr. Pepper and caffeine and plan to maintain my current weight and heath. I have more details on my blog post:

I'm with Kevin. I thought this was something to do with a GMC vehicle. My goal for this year is to redirect my career away from so much nonfiction and concentrate on fiction. My motivation is that my latest book has done so well, I really want to work on the series for the next few years.

My goal, too, to get the wip done. I blogged about the same thanks to your inspiration.

I thought I was the only one who didn't know what GMC stood for!!:)
I'm striving for BALANCE this year, with surges of Yee-Haw fun mixed in. I would like to omit, prevent and simply not focus on worrying so much!
