The good news is I got something accomplished.
The bad news is there's way too much more to do to get the basement in order.
I had to stop because I was exhausted.
Until I find time to make more progress down there, I'm reminding myself there's more to life than a clean basement.

Ho, that's the perennial problem of the author cum housekeeper! I have a Three Task Trick to overcome it. Every night I write down three tasks. One is tough, two are simple (eg: empty trash). Every night I then tick off the tasks I've done. All three and I can go to bed happy!
Problem is, task one tends to occupy all day: write 3000 scintillating words...
Very nice!
Cleaning is a never-ending job. Wish it wasn't so - but the feeling of accomplishment feels pretty good!
